The 2008 Wausau Film Festival in a Nutshell
The 2008 Wausau Film Festival seeks to showcase films in two categories.
1) New Filmmakers
For all the new filmmakers out their.
2) Indie Spot Light
Directors with Experience and a Budget
Ideal submissions will have themes of "Service to Others" or "The Blues". Some proceeds of the festival will be donated to a national charity for military families and a local Wausau, Wisconsin charity. This year's festival will take place at the same time as "The Big Bull Falls Blues Festival" one of the premiere blues festivals in the Midwestern United States.
The Entry Fee is $10.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
Do not pay until your entry is ready to be sent in the mail.
No entry fees nor materials will be returned.
Materials not owned by submitting filmmaker strictly prohibited.
Materials displayed in full on the internet discouraged.
All entries must be submitted in a "final cut form" on DVD region 0 or 1 NTSC
Press Kits must be available upon request at filmmaker expense. Digital Press Kits are Ideal.
All submissions for the 2008 festival must be postmarked by June 30th 2008.
Submit entry in DVD sized media mailers only!
Wisconsin Premiere Films Preferred.
Films not shown in their entirety on the internet will be given preference.
Films in languages other than English must be subtitled or dubbed in English.
"Film" is used loosely. The Wausau Film Festival currently only allows motion picture works submitted on DVD.
The Wausau Film Festival will not be held liable for copyrighted works submitted as the rightfully owned material of anyone. No material with pending litigation over ownership allowed.
Rules and Regulations subject to change without notice at producers discretion.
All awards will be chosen by audience ballot.
Like last year 1/4 of the festival's net proceeds will go to the filmmakers and charity.
